This is not essential on a blog, but overall as part of book marketing, it can be very useful, and if done properly will add another dimension to your blog. However don’t fall into the trap of making every post a video – some people like to read, some prefer to listen, others to watch. So only use video if you feel it adds to what you are doing.
If you do decide to use video in any part of your book marketing, then create your own YouTube channel. YouTube is now the second biggest search engine – so it’s worth putting some effort there...
