Every FICTION author should consider attending Literary and Book Festivals. It’s a great way to network, pick up new ideas and promote your book – even if it’s only to your fellow attendees.
If you can get a speaking slot – even better! This is usually not that easy unless you are a well-known name. However, if you can play the ‘local author’ card - then that can really help. Also if you have something a little more original than ‘this is my book’ to offer as a talk, then that can also work in your favour.
