First of all you need to build a contact list. Don’t let this put you off starting. If you have one journalist on your list – send them a targeted press release. The most important thing is to get started. It’s the only way you’ll get any coverage for your book!
An easy way to get the contacts you need is to visit the web sites of the media outlets you wish to target or, in the case of newspapers and magazines, buy a copy. In most cases this will give you all the contact details you need; names, telephone numbers and email addresses.
